Book ‘Em Techies: Lunch “Five-O”

Lunch 2.0, the tech business lunch phenomenon that started in Silicon Valley — and spread globally to places like Germany, Netherlands and India — arrives in Hawaii on Friday, Dec. 28, from Noon to 2 p.m. at the Manoa Innovation Center, 2800 Woodlawn Drive, Honolulu (in Manoa Valley).
Lunch will be provided by HiBEAM, Hawaii Business and Entrepreneur Acceleration Mentors, a nonprofit dedicated to helping launch and build promising early stage technology, biotechnology and life sciences companies by providing expert professional advice and access to funding sources.
Featured at the event are two HiBEAM portfolio companies: ChipIn and PeopleBridge. ChipIn is a Web-based service that simplifies the process of collecting money from groups of people. Using a ChipIn widget, you can easily promote the ChipIns on the social networking sites you already use and track the demographics of those chipping in. Social networking platform provider PeopleBridge, founded by Dave Kozuki who started GlobalPauHana.org, is the largest social network specifically for kama’aina.
RSVPs greatly appreciated to get an accurate headcount for food: rsvp@lunch20hawaii.com. This event is also listed on Facebook and Upcoming.
Wally Roth came up with this idea and I’m helping him and Dave Kozuki to put this together. I unfortunately won’t be in Honolulu until Jan. 7 so I’m helping out with this remotely.
