Comment on Obama/Biden Announce Transition Team by Prosy Delacruz

I am hoping that the transition team consider not only integration of ethnicities, states' perspectives, non-profits' perspectives of community service but also reflecting the cultural strengths of this nation in the Obama administration.

Higher education's perspective is reflected in both the president-elect and his spouse and Biden's wife. It would be great to see that emphasis also reflected in constituting the cabinet, the reorganization of the federal government's infrastructure.

But also, that the cabinet members reflect in their track records a strong sense of imagination and cautious risk-taking so we can have a creative government, an oxymoron that has not been done before. I like what I heard from Peggy Noonan today, a conservative Republican who writes for Wall Street Journal, that Americans like waves washing off the dirt from the shores, but not what is good about America. What is good about America is its sense of creativity, its sense of imagination, its sense of faith in becoming a new reinvented self, its sense of optimism. Let that be reflected in the cabinet!

And also, I hope the cabinet reflects several members with opposite perspectives that will allow President Obama to synthesize, to integrate, to reflect the sensibilities and sensitivities of most of its citizens and I just look forward to more goodwill, goodness multiplied in this administration, a synthesis of four G's: God, Grace, Graciousness and Grand Integration and Inclusion of all ethnicities and diverse perspectives!!

I feel that the United States of America, should STOP the STEALING from the HAWAIIAN PEOPLE & Kamehameha Schools, I can see if the school gets fed. money to run then ok.. but we don’t, it comes from the Hawaiian Kingdom for our Hawaiian Kids (past, presant & future). The Hawaiian Kingdom still exists today and is the lawful government for the Hawaiian Islands which is a sovereign nation despite the 1893 unlawful seizure of Hawaii by the treasonous group of white businessmen, with the aid of the United States military and more than a century-long illegal occupation of Hawaii by the United States. Give Back our Islands… Now!
